It’s back! Available once more is Union Pacific’s Cheyenne Facilities, by well-known UP railroad historians and photographers Jack Wolff and Jim Ehernberger. Originally released in 2014, the book has been out of print for a number of years. This comprehensive look at Cheyenne and its railroad shop complex includes about 300 well-reproduced illustrations, of which 37 are in color. Individual chapters cover the roundhouse, machine shops, depot and yards in both the steam and diesel eras. Included are four diagrams that show where various structures were located. The authors have added two photographs and otherwise made some changes from the earlier edition. This title is being made available to South Platte Press for distribution.
